PRINCETON UNIVERSITY CONCERTS PRESENTS MEET THE MUSIC: "LEAVE IT TO LUDWIG" ON MARCH 15
PUC Brings The Chamber Music Society Of Lincoln Center's Beloved Family Series To Princeton
Princeton University Concerts is thrilled to bring Meet The Music, a family concert series featuring musicians from The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center to Princeton families. The second concert in the series, "Leave it to Ludwig," will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 1PM at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall. Hosted by Bruce Adolphe, Director of Family Programs at The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, "Leave it to Ludwig" explores Beethoven's chamber music. Beethoven himself will appear in Richardson to help a young pianist play his music as he meant it to be played. Featuring music of Beethoven. The concert is targeted at kids ages 6-12 and PUC urges parents to consider this guideline when deciding to bring children younger than 6.
"We continue our mission to expand our impact in this community and to develop future audiences for classical music," says PUC Director Marna Seltzer. "We are eager to build on our success of the fall when the musicians of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center performed to a full house. The reaction to our first concert in this series, a brand new venture for PUC, confirmed that there is a real need for more programming like this in our community. As we continue to develop this series, we look forward to offering young people something memorable and unique -- a transformative musical experience. And we want these concerts to be accessible to everyone. For that reason, ticket prices are family friendly -- just $10 for adults and $5 for children."

ABOUT MEET THE MUSIC
The "Meet the Music" series was developed by The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, a national leader in the field of chamber music programming. Now in its xx year, the series in New York this renowned program has been praised for... The concerts in Princeton, which began this fall, mark the first time that CMSLC has sent these programs outside of New York. With this series, PUC seeks to spark a life-long love of music that will begin the moment a child "meets the music" in person in Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall. With Bruce Adolphe, Director of Family Programs at CMSLC, as host, kids (suggested ages six and up) will embrace the joys of classical chamber music. A 21st Century embodiment of composer/educator Leonard Bernstein and comedian/performer Victor Borge, Adolphe makes the discovery -- or rediscovery -- of chamber music a hoot for the whole family. After the first concert this fall one parent remarked Bruce Adolphe gave my daughter - and me - permission to be naive yet still connect with the music and be moved. I love the fact that this concert aimed for inspiration over instruction, and for five dollars - FIVE DOLLARS!! - I don't think you could do any better in Princeton or anywhere else. More please!"
