LIVE MUSIC MEDITATION

News |Feature | Feb 20, 2017 | By Princeton University Concerts,
LIVE MUSIC MEDITATION,

On the heels of the over-capacity Live Music Meditation with the Takács String Quartet this past fall, Princeton University Concerts is collaborating with the Princeton University Edward T. Cone Artists-in-Residence, So Percussion, to continue its Mindfulness with Music program -- a joint venture with the Office of Religious Life

The percussion quartet will perform a half-hour special program of music during a silent guided meditation led by Associate Dean Matt Weiner. Participants are invited to stay after the meditation for a group conversation with the musicians about the experience of listening to music mindfully, followed by a light lunch. This event is free and open to all; no prior experience is necessary.

The final Live Music Meditaiton of the 2016-2017 PUC season will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 12:30PM with violinist Pekka Kuusisto.
